Consistency: Sanscrit vs. Pali[edit]

The Tripitaka/Tipitaka article uses the Sanscrit spelling, but as of this page, the Pali spellings are used. Should these be kept consistent? I'm not familiar with usage of the Sanscrit spellings for the Tipitaka, but if others are, perhaps they can update them. -- Jketola 1 July 2005 19:09 (UTC)

We should use Pali when we're talking specifically about the Pali Canon and Sanskrit when we're combining material about different versions of the Scriptures. Peter jackson 10:28, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Numbering for Samyutta and Anguttara is inconsistent. Peter jackson 17:34, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted the material about other Sutra Pitakas, which doesn't belong here. I've started a separate article Sutra Pitaka, just a stub so far. Someone who knows how to do it might like to move the deleted material there, and perhaps correct the Japanglish as well. Peter jackson 16:12, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
