Dubious?[edit]

Why is going up a notch a "dubious distinction"?Kdammers (talk) 09:11, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

rockabilly?[edit]

How is this song considered rockabilly in either Elvis or Terry Stafford's version? It's pop if it must be put in a genre. And why is Stafford considered an "Elvis sound-alike"? He had a similar vocal range, a bit deeper perhaps than Elvis, and a hint of a southern accent but I doubt anyone would mistake one for the other. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:C48F:5B50:5C8E:A7DA:CDD6:DB9D (talk) 16:31, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I recall DJs at the time (1964) referring to Terry Stafford as an "Elvis sound-alike". There was even some PR-created 'news' that Stafford had won the right to sing this song in an "Elvis sound-alike" contest. I searched but could not find anything reliable as a reference, and I know original research is not allowed, but I do remember these things happening at the time. I am 75 now (2022) and I was 18 in 1964. Rainbow-five (talk) 21:21, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
