Sursock family is originally from Constantinople, not Lebanon ! This is what the family itself claims on its official website:

I can't access the second link. What the family itself claims can't be used in that way because it wouldn't comply with our WP:RS requirement. This source says they originated in Mersin. DeCausa The source I cited describes their story, check page number 3, and I will quote a part of it for you:

"According to the oldest documents possessed by historians, the active presence of the Sursuqs is first indicated as being in Mersin, a port in southern Anatolia, other reports in the Lebanese press over the last twenty years and based on a note on the margins of a medieval chronicle, identify their origins in 13th century Constantinople, according to the version now confirmed by the family, the Sursuqs fled from the capital of the Byzantine empire after its conquest by the Ottoman troops of Mehmet II in 1453. Their presence in Mersin is nevertheless documented from the second half of the 16th century, the Surqus subsequently moved from the Anatolian coast to the district of Gubayl (Byblos)"

I think we should mention what the family claims, for example, we can type: according to some sources including the official website of the Sursuq family: the family fled from Constantinople, while other sources claim the family traces its origins to Mersin on the Anatolian Coast Whatsupkarren (talk) 10:30, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have the source now: it's Trombetta, Lorenzo (2009). "The Private Archive of the Sursuqs, A Beirut Family of Christian Notables: An Early Investigation".
