Merger proposal[edit]

I propose to merge the content of cosmogenic radionuclide dating into this article. There is a lot of duplicated information on these two pages and they currently both discuss the same topic. Potentially surface exposure dating would also include the usage of stable isotopes, but this could be accommodated as a section in the article once someone gets around to writing that section. I feel that the name of this page uses less jargon and is perhaps a more desirable way of referring to this topic. What do you guys think? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zploskey (talkcontribs) 05:55, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I started the CNR page; if you'd like to make it be a subsection of a more complete article here, that sounds fine by me. However, cosmogenic radionuclides are used for both exposure and burial ages, so it is also possible to construct that as a main topic in which these are subtopics. I wasn't aware of this article when I created that one, so one way or another, additional links, info, and/or redirects will help. I'm adding this to my personal to-do list.
I am not aware of methods of surface exposure dating that use stable isotopes; could you elaborate? Awickert (talk) 05:00, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like this could solve the problem below. 74.178.230.234 (talk) 03:20, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lead length[edit]

Currently,[1] the entirety of the article's text in in "the lead". Absurd. 74.178.230.234 (talk) 03:19, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
