Vandalism?

Not sure how to replace this with the right information. Just wanted to let someone who knows more about Suntrust that in history and founding section it states that "abigail did it. she started it all" or words to that effect. the previous description suggested that alexander key is the primary brokerage unit that caters to wealthy individuals. that is not the case.

im not sure if anyone is up for editing this, but Suntrust was a merger/rebirth that came out of an old bank called SunBank, the merge happened somewhere around 1995, im sure there is information about it somewhere out there. Robbie 21:09, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Trust Company Bank of Georgia and Sunbank of Florida was the Merger. Mid 1990's sounds about right.

9/11 Commission report

Founding?

The founding in the infobox says 1811, the page in 1891. Being a merged bank, I don't think either of these apply. The S 21:29, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Needs updating

Hi,

I've noticed a couple of things that are out of date on this article if someone could chase down a citation and correct:

1. The merger with GB&T (the article may want to clarify that GB&T is the bank formerly known as "Gainesville Bank and Trust") did take place in 2008-ish. The article still refers to it as pending/uncertain. 2. Coca-Cola withdrew the secret recipe from Suntrust's vault earlier this year/possibly last year to place it in their new exhibit at their World of Coke museum.

Hello!

I work in Branch Design at SunTrust and noticed the logo on this page is out of date. The one shown was replaced in 2014 with the new logo which includes less rays that are no longer gradient. Could someone please update?

Updating Key Metrics

In the interest of transparency I am disclosing that I am currently employed by SunTrust. My intent is to offer suggestions (make edits for consideration when I meet the "semi-protected" requirement) for updating key basic data, i.e. assets, earnings, number of employees, etc. on a more routine basis using third-party resources to keep it as current as possible.
