Name translation[edit]

Why is it "gurashi" rather than "kurashi"? Cesiumfrog (talk) 21:33, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Movie #2 title?[edit]

A while ago Imagineer Co. released two new mobile games promoting the second movie and it managed to find its way into the US, which I find a little silly because I don’t remember San-X planning to release it outside of Japan.

I tried one of these apps, the “Block Puzzle” (which plays like that DSiWare game Doodle Fit except with typical F2P features), and I instantly came across a kinda-official translation of the movie title, which is “The Little Wizard in the Blue Moonlight”. I was going to change the movie’s current unofficial English title to this but I didn’t want to spark an edit war, which is why I decided to bring this up here.

So what do you think?

The production studio Fanworks (animation studio) has an information page in English using the same title "Sumikkogurashi: The Little Wizard in the Blue Moonlight"[1] and it also appears to be used in Singapore [2].

And similarly, Fanworks also has an English page listing the title of the first movie as "Sumikkogurashi: Good to be in the corner" [3]

It might be a good idea to also include more literal translations of the Japanese movie titles in this article though, since, especially in case of the first one, the meaning differs quite a bit from these apparently official English titles. Siawase (talk) 06:44, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
