Danube commission[edit]

Was Sulina really "from 1856 to 1939 the seat of the Danube Commission"? Other sources state that its seat was Galaţi. Fransvannes (talk) 14:34, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As usual, the truth is in the middle. Both cities hosted the Commision. However, on the official sites of the two cities, there is no mention about the other ;)--Alex:Dan (talk) 22:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The seat was first in Galati (1856-1861, but I'm not sure of the 61, my source is the Integrated Development Plan for Sulina, 2009, but the phrase they use is not perfectly clear). European Union Extremes[edit]

Is it right that Sulina is the easternmost point in the European Union? I don't think it is even the easternmost point in the Union on mainland Europe - an accolade (if so it be) that I think goes to Ilomantsi in Finland. Access[edit]

The German WP mentions that this town does not have access to the Romanian road system and is accessible only by boat. It does not give any sources for this claim unfortunately.

I cannot find any mention of this in the English article, but if someone can find sources supporting this statement, it certainly seems worth mentioning. --87.150.8.240 (talk) 16:19, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
