  • This article is just about new and long enough. The hook is cited and interesting enough. AGF on the Dutch sources. Three minor things though: 1) please add the article to a few categories if possible 2) "... as it passed through the nation" feels superfluous. 3) Awaiting QPQ. • Ok. How about this? ... that since Storm Poly caused several rail services to be cancelled, hundreds were stranded at the Amsterdam's central station? Source: [1] Also, this is my first DYK nomination so I don't think I need to do a QPQ. "Flux55"
Ok, thanks for letting me know. The alt sounds good to me! Cheers, KINGofLETTUCE 👑 🥬 12:26, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    • Is there anything else I need to do to improve the hook. If not, should the discussion be closed? "Flux55" — Preceding undated comment added 17:36, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"toppled down"?[edit]

Under the section on Poly's effect on Germany is this: " ... while powerful gusts toppled down trees, ... " The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines "topple" as "Cause to fall headlong ... "; since falling is always down, I suggest that "toppled down" should be simply "toppled". What do others think? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 07:52, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that info! I'll change it now. ''Flux55'' (talk) 12:14, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
