Small village?[edit]

I've changed Stoneclough from a small village to a suburb of Kearsley. The Greater Manchester County Records Office suggests Stoneclough is a locality within Kearsley. --Jza84 |  Talk  12:43, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's a fair point to make and Stoneclough is very close to Kearsley and once upon a time would have been governed by the Kearsley town hall (now defunct). If you visit Stoneclough you will see there is a distinct divide between Kearsley and Stoneclough, so much so that the council have erected signs that say "welcome to Stoneclough" as you enter the village. Locally Stoneclough is also referred to as village too but if the books at country hall state that Stoneclough is in Kearsley then so be it! :) --Jamman |  Talk  23:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why are references to Stoneclough smelling of poo being removed? It does. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.239.159.6 (talk) 12:02, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Look, Stoneclough smells of poo. That's unfortunate but it's the truth. The stench of feaces is an unavoidable fact of Stonecloughian life. I am reversnig the reoval of my last coment and expect you to leave it unless you can offer a good explanation as to why it should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.239.159.6 (talk) 12:17, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
