The article's title

Since the term is used with the indefinite article "a", it can't be a proper noun. Thus, per WP:MOS, the word "cup" in the article title shouldn't be capitalized. Unless there's objection, I'll try to fix this.--Stepheng3 (talk) 21:46, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Is term stirrup cup Highland?

As far as I'm aware the term or concept of a stirrup cup is not distinctively Scottish, let alone Highland. The citation makes no mention of any provenance for the term, thus not supporting the assertion. Surely the term (if used in Scotland much or at all) and the concept are found more widely. Deoch an dorais is the Gaelic term but without the specific implication of being on horseback. Mutt Lunker (talk) 21:00, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
