In [1], [2] and [3] the date for this painting is given as 1906. The first article claims that the painting incorporates a representation of his own sculpture, which I don't see in our image (or is it the small white drawing in the lower left corner?). The third article claims that the painting is held by the Art Institute of Chicago, however I can't find it in their collection. I also can't find any mentioning of the Pinakothek anywhere in connection with this painting. AxelBoldt (talk) 21:19, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The above info relates to a different painting called Still Life with a Geranium, [4] which shows a sculpture and is in the Art Institute of Chicago. It could be the one in the article is titled wrongly, or a title Matisse used for both paintings. Tyrenius (talk) 23:14, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The painting in this article should be called Still Life with Geraniums.[5] Otherwise the info is correct. The New York Times states, "Also among the six paintings that survived the war and were housed in the Neue Pinakothek's small collection of 20th-century art is a Matisse, "Still Life With Geraniums", which was given to the state in 1912, thus becoming, according to the museum, the first Matisse in a public collection."[6] I will move the article.
