Steven Grosby is a highly regarded scholar who meets the criteria of being widely discussed by other scholars {http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&q=Steven+Grosby&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wp} and the criteria of being credited with originating an important scholarly idea.

Moreover, I truly doubt that it was possible for you to have read the article, your message went uo instantly.

I understand that there are a lot of individuals who would like to gain fame by having their own Wikipedia page. but, please, do not be so hasty to emilinate academics doing notable work.Whig historian (talk) 01:00, 6 March 2008 (UTC)Whig historian[reply]

I just went to look at the Wikipedia page nationalism and can see that Grosby is listed among the theorists of nationalism.

You know, actors seem to get pages with their first movie or Broadway speaking role, novelists with their first novel. Why give widely-cited academics a higher bar to leap?Whig historian (talk) 01:13, 6 March 2008 (UTC)Whig historian[reply]
