The SF Gate article and the already cited Independent article would establish enough notability that I don't think the article can be deleted without going through a full WP:AFD. I'll try to add these sources later, if/when I overhaul this article. Ian.thomson (talk) 00:08, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Potential conflict of interest for a contributor to this article[edit]
The earliest draft of this article, which was by someone that had done nothing but write about Skinner included material that looked like it was copied and pasted from a resume (particularly the awkward "date-date - puffy praise of any given job" format). There were also a number of user-generated sources, including Livejournal, which were reviews for books, that smelled of WP:REFSPAM. Consequently, I have to ask @Rectaraspy: to please edit other topics, as their actions give a very clear impression of either being Skinner or an associate of his. Per WP:COI, Rectaraspy is welcome to discuss or request edits on this talk page, but discouraged from editing it except in reverting gross vandalism (which has a very specific definition on this site, and does not include a lot of things).
