Bishops Stortford?[edit]

Why is he listed as having played youth football for a small-town club in England? As far as I can see he started his career in Ghana and never played as a youth in England - am going to remove the link as it looks like spam or someone's idea of a joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.7.24.105 (talk) 18:17, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Celtic Move?[edit]

Someone has added a passage saying he has turned down a 6 month deal with Spurs to sign a two year contract with Celtic "but its yet to be confirmed". There is nothing in the press to suggest this is true and no official announcement to back this up. Adding unsubstantiated rumours is hardly suitable for an encyclopedia entry - I'm gonna removing the Celtic speculation, if it proves to be proved correct whoever added it can re-edit the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.38.106 (talk) 00:10, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request this page is semi-protected - someone repeatedly vandalises this page saying Appiah has "ended speculation concerning his future" and cites moves to Celtic and various African sides. Appiah has not ended speculation regarding his future and the repeated modification to this article are unsubstantiated heresay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.38.106 (talk) 03:12, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube[edit]

YouTube

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed, feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll review it personally. Thanks. ---J.S (t|c) 15:13, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Schalke[edit]

A friend linked me to something saying that the deal to take Appiah to Schalke was done, so I edited the page accordingly. Minutes later I discovered that the story was false, so I reverted my changes. Apologies. Nach0king 21:19, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:StephenAppiah.jpg[edit]

Image:StephenAppiah.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Arsenal[edit]

Any link for the Arsenal story? Why do people change players' clubs on wikipedia without sourcing information?? What is the point. Saying that he plays for Arsenal doesn't make it any more or less likely to happen, it just annoys people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.42.150.218 (talk) 15:50, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree on the need for a source for the Arsenal story. I've deleted it a couple of times now, because it clearly is not verified by anyone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.142.168.191 (talk) 16:01, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone is still at it. Seems like vandalism Leninbenjamin (talk) 18:01, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(EDIT) I have requested the page be semi-protected, as this vandalism has been continuing throughout the evening. Once there is a reliable source then we can go back to business as usual Deckchair (talk) 20:46, 9 September 2008 (UTC) Deckchair (talk) 12:55, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

== It seems as if reports coming out of Spurs that he has failed to agree commercial terms, and will not be offered a contract, apparently he is now having a trail with a Russian club ==

Turkish nationality[edit]

Turkish FA said he holds Turkish nationality now, but have a better source? Matthew_hk tc 01:30, 26 January 2010 (UTC) .[reply]

Fan page tag[edit]

I came here in response to a notice posted on the NPOV noticeboard. This article is written in a WP:NPOV way, but fortunately, it could be easily fixed!

I put a fan page tag on this page in response to phrases such as "A strong and tireless midfielder, with a notable athleticism..." While these things may be true, information posted on Wikipedia must be sourced to independent reports. Without sources, statements that praise the article's subject should be written in a neutral way. Thanks! Blue Rasberry 13:59, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming his date of birth is correct (there's apparently some controversy), he made his senior international debut on his 16th birthday. Cris Freddi — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.5.1 (talk) 23:06, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

That image in the inbox is terrible, how do you know if it's him??? Govvy (talk) 09:18, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It was cropped from File:Closeup Czech Republic versus Ghana at 2006 World Cup.jpg. However, i agreed it was really bad in qualify, even we may verified it is him by looking up the lineup for the number 10. Matthew hk (talk) 17:32, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I reduced the size slightly, which makes the image a little less awful.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:31, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
