Wordsworth and "jingosim"[edit]

Did Wordsworth really have a comment about "easy jingoism"? He died in 1840 and the term comes from the belligerent attitude of many Britons toward France late in the Victorian era, as summed up in the song lyric, "We don't want to fight/ But, by jingo, if we do/ We've got the men, we've got the ships/We've got the money too". The usage here seems to be an anachronism, at best. Wordsworth might have been appalled by bellicosity, but it would seem to be wrong to attribute to him a disgust with "jingoism" as the term has a specific origin and should not (at least in my opinion) be used retrospectively. 2600:1004:B16F:EB9:8DC0:18AB:DED9:81EE (talk) 15:55, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Last military engagement?[edit]

I remember reading somewhere that this was the last military engagement that Switzerland was involved in. However, I cannot remember where and I don't remember there being a citation. Could someone check this and add it to the article if true? --67.43.18.152 (talk) 17:31, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
