This is a country album influenced with pop and other genres! The person who put this on lock doesn’t want to accept that kacey is still country 2600:8800:3004:9600:E524:8E01:E265:E827 (talk) 16:19, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:27, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Country pop genre addition[edit]

Kacey has described this album as having a foot in country. Its inaccurate to say this is just "pop". Even Apple Music categorizes this album as country. (Aricmfergie (talk) 02:36, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed SIX sources calling this album Country and Pop. Like the note said it needed references to be edited. (Aricmfergie (talk) 02:54, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't matter what Musgraves or Apple Music thinks. As per WP:EXPLICITGENRE, only reliable music publications matter. The review/article should state the genre of the album explicitly and not indirectly. And out of the 6 reviews you cited, 4 of them are already included in the article and none of those 4 call the album country-pop. The other two (New Statesman and The Minnesota Daily) explicitly call the album country-pop, but they're not very reliable when it comes to music (they're local newspapers); nevertheless, I let "country-pop" remain since we have two sources (eventhough pretty unreliable) calling it so. Genre[edit]

The genre label has a note that said you needed a citation before editing. I had one and it still was removed. THIS ALBUM IS POP AND COUNTRY POP. (Aricmfergie (talk) 02:43, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
