Inconsistency and lack of clarity[edit]

1. There is inconsistency with the way the word "Saint" is written throughout the article. My understanding is that in the U.K. "St" is preferred and in the U.S.A. "St." is preferred. My inclination is that "St." is better because it's an abbreviation and the lack of the period means that "St" is a word and this is not the case. Please standardise/starndardize the word "Saint", including in the title of this entry.

2. The article says "A long siege was ordered by the Scottish Regent, James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Arran" and then it says "Arran heard that an English army was on its way to relieve the Castle".

Is the "Arran" in the second sentence referring to James Hamilton? If it is, I think it should be replaced by "Hamilton" or "the 2nd Earl of Arran" and not simply "Arran".
