I'm not sure who started this article, but since I work for St. John Ambulance and I maintain some of the websites, I've included as much of the material as I can at this time. Since some of this material originated from the sites I maintain, I give permission for it to be here on Wikipedia.org. Please be aware that material regarding the MFR program and the other training programs varies from province to province; I've changed much of it to generic statements that apply nationwide. I will be updating this page with more material once I dig it up... Joezasada 06:35, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Sjac.gif[edit]

Image:Sjac.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image[edit]

I removed the image of the SJA truck as i found it to be rather misleading, as the focus point of the photo was an Ottawa Paramedic Service truck with the SJA truck half in the image to the side.

Training[edit]

Isn't this POV? "SJAC is the national leader in first aid" or can it be established that SJAC and not say, the Canadian Red Cross "leads the nation" in first aid training? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.75.169.11 (talk) 10:38, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Naming Proposal[edit]

So I've been considering a way to organize the Wikipedia pages that deal with the Order of St John and St John Ambulance. Since the St John Ambulance is officially an organ of the Order of St John, it makes sense to me to change the name of all the national ambulance pages to something like [[Order of St John in (COUNTRY)]]. What are your thoughts on that for this page? I'm posting similar requests for feedback on the other national ambulance pages. You can see my idea of how the navigation would look at my sandbox the newly created Order of St John in the United States page. I'd love to read any thoughts on this.--dave-- 01:07, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well...it's been a month and a half an no objections have been raised here or elsewhere. I will, thus, move forward with some changes. Thanks!--dave-- 16:12, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
