Misleading sentence[edit]

"There was a fire in 1865 which destroyed the roof, after which the two spires were removed." Well, yes, in the same sense that I was born after the Great Depression. The spires were removed in 1889, an entire generation after the fire. - Jmabel | Talk 06:11, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Romanesque Revival?[edit]

Certainly the church as it stands today looks rather Romanesque. But it was originally topped by two rather Gothic spires, as shown in this 19th century stereo card. - Jmabel | Talk 06:12, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think I've addressed both your comments in the expansion and rewrite I've just completed. Let me know if there are other problems. Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:06, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
