The reverts imposed by OldJacobite[edit]

Oldjacobite is at his usual tactics concerning filnm plots especially those that he feels others should not correct inaccuracies that are clearly found by viewing the film. I asked for direction at teahouse befote there was the 3 revert rule inposed.2605:E000:9143:7000:3832:5234:5BA4:7DB6 (talk) 12:58, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits were incorrect and unhelpful, that is why they were reverted. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 17:15, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You are telling me after seeing the film several times that the extraction of Biship and Elizabeth was exactly 15 minutes before he was to be executed. That is not supported by film content. There is no way to specifically determine when extraction occurred. A time is indicated at 7:42 (I presume DC time) that the call went through. There is no other time indication that it was at 7:45 anyone's time.
There is no indication that retraction of the CNN story was by direct action of the CIA. The deputy director asked to speak to the FCC which is not CNN And there was never any on camera mention that CNN had retracted the story due to notice from the CIA or the FCC but that it had learned from a source that Bishop had been dead.
Just these alone show inaccuracies in the WP plot that your persistence at disputing what you do not know or care to have corrected. That is unfortunate and not what i would characterize in the spirit of WP. You know that and so do others. Anyways. Date of story[edit]

TheOldJacobite - I noted that someone else corrected the date, but you reverted them. I then corrected the date again, and added a ref so you would see the edit was correct, but you've reverted again. If you don't want to see refs in the plot, that's fine, but please (partially) self-revert the correct date back in (1991). Thank you - theWOLFchild 23:23, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The date has been changed multiple times, with no explanation or talk page discussion. I checked the film, and the 1991 date is correct. The film is the only source we need. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 23:28, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, like I said, the ref wasn't the issue, getting the correct date was and now that's resolved. Thanks - theWOLFchild 23:39, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Elizabeth Jean Scott[edit]

Who was she ? And what role did she perform in the making of the film? 2601:8C3:8200:ECA0:E481:B8CB:F4A7:733D (talk) 04:32, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The mother of the film's director Tony Scott. She died while the film was being made and so it was dedicated in her memory. - wolf 14:56, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
