list transfer methods[edit]

containing spermatozoa and transferred in entirety to the female's ovipore during copulation

Say how. By special delivery? Seriously, list the several methods please. Jidanni 19:27, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

edit[edit]

I added a couple sentences providing an example of a species that uses spermatopore to transfer nutrients, sperm, and alkaloids. The section I added is in the lead of the article. kzyoung (talk) 01:53, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Descendant[edit]

The section Spermatophore#Descendant has an unclear title, and is worded in a way that implies Spermatophore is a species descended from an aquatic species instead of a sperm capsule. It's also not clear from the text what "unearthing" is referring to. The section is unreadable and does not reflect the content of the cited source. It should either be removed or completely rewritten by a biologist.

-I couldn't make any sense out of it either. I've deleted it.--Sinusoidal (talk) 02:53, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Spermatophore[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Spermatophore's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 07:11, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
