The river Sperchiós/Sperkhiós/Sperkheiós (no idea what transcription to use) still exists. It flows into the Aegean Sea near Lamía, according to my map. Markussep 08:23, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)

since 2004 without any sense being made of it (at least for most of our readers). I provided an on-line source and made the role of "22" clear, and fool that i am, read that tale. Per the translator AL says nothing of the kind; rather that is what AL reports Cerambus as saying out of spite, and it seems clear AL assumed it was false, or rather intended his audience to do so.--Jerzy•t 05:59, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
are precisely the same thing and the PRIMARYTOPIC of both is the river itself. I'm all for treating the god as part of this article but if it's felt he needs his own stub, it belongs at Spercheios (god), Spercheus (mythology), &c. We shouldn't FORK the content in a way that makes it look as though they are separate things or that the name changed at some point.
