Who would actually take time to write an article about lame old uber-conservative boring Sparta?

This article is not acurate. Whoever wrote it should realize we are not anywhere near Edison or some of the areas mentioned.

You should realize that the article didn't say "Edison Township." There's a section of Sparta called Edison. RasputinAXP c

The section on notable present and former residents is a bit unusual. How does one define "notable?" Personally I've never heard of the NBA player listed. former residents Fred Hoaglin, Ed Fulton and Greg Baty were NFL football players, former resident John McVay was head coach of the NY Giants. Hoaglin was later an offensive coach for the Giants. How about former resident John Gutowsky, better known as John Gordon, play-by-play announcer for the Minnesota Twins? He's extremely well-known in the Midwest. Emmy winner Tom Caltabiano (producer of Everybody Loves Raymond) is a former resident.

The list could go on and on...the late Gordon Foster is universally recognized among botanists as one of the all-time authorities on ferns...shouldn't he be included?

Communities[edit]

Two Spartans, sitting at a desk. Combined time living in Sparta: over 40 years. And we haven't heard of half of those communities. I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but where, or what, is Ackerson? Woodruffs Gap? We've heard of Monroe and Hopewell, but where are they? Does Sparta Junction honestly exist anymore? How come Upper Mohawk (presumably Upper Lake, where my parents live) gets a listing, but Lake Mohawk, one of the geuine communities within Sparta, does not? Orphaned references in Sparta, New Jersey[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sparta, New Jersey's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
