UC-Santa Cruz Swimming and Diving[edit]

The article reported that UC-Santa Cruz is a future associate member in swimming and diving starting in the 2013-14 school year. That is clearly out of date since 2014 is already two years in the past. Obviously they were only in the conference for that one year since the SCAC's own website and the UCSC athletic website made no reference to them as a conference member after that school year, but I looked in vain for an online news source to cite showing that they had left the conference, so finally I chose to just link to the UCSC swimming website showing the schedule for 2014-15, which clearly made no reference to any SCAC competition. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurtisokc (talkcontribs) 19:18, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed text[edit]

I re-removed the following text:

Much of this may be caused by a combination of high academic standards and small school sizes; however, it must be noted that successful athletic programs at Division III colleges such as Emory and Williams share similar academic, cost, and enrollment figures with SCAC institutions.

I removed it the first time because it is unsupported theorizing. On top of that, it refutes itself, so it doesn't really make much sense. If someone can provide a citation that links the success of the conference to academics or size, and then picks just one of the two sentences, I'll be happy to see it included. Not to mention Emory and Williams have endowments orders of magnitude higher than most SCAC schools. 98.6.11.10 (talk) 16:55, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Champions[edit]

Rose-Hulman was still in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in 1998, so the champion shouldn't be listed here for that year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.208.104.14 (talk) 15:19, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2012 SCAC Breakup[edit]

I've performed some updates to reflect the recent announcement that the SCAC as we know it will be dramatically changed in 2012. I also removed DePauw, since they're now off to the NCAC. Someone needs to update the conference map to remove Indiana; I removed Indiana from the list of WikiProjects that care about this page, since there are no longer members based in Indiana. A huge rev will need to be done at the end of next season. 15.203.233.80 (talk) 19:30, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2012-3 SCAC update[edit]

I've removed the Southern Athletic Association schools and made a start at the rest of the cleanup required for the new, streamlined conference. Since the old map is now out-of-date I changed the size to 1 (was 250) so the inaccurate map would not be displayed. Hopefully someone with more wiki-knowledge than I can create a new one and update this later. 99.191.106.234 (talk) 03:52, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also removed from the WikiProject states that no longer apply. 99.191.106.234 (talk) 15:25, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
