References[edit]

The entire article is unreferenced. Even though this information is possibly correct, it isn't credible without proper citation. Whoever wrote the sections of this article should cite the areas of the external links that they used. Edit: Never mind, I was mistaken. Nearly all of the external links are direct links to the school; the citations to verifiable information must be to links independent to the school. In other words, the referenced links must not be published or written by South Hills High School itself.

I've fixed the neutrality of this article. I'm going to assume that a majority of those who write this article are currently attending high school, so I'm going to give some pointers about writing sections in Wikipedia articles. Remember that you must keep neutrality, which means that you cannot use any words that have a positive or negative connotation to it. You also cannot use words such as many, lots of, etc; because they are not definitive and able to be proven. Statements in a Wikipedia article speak for themselves; as long as you write that "South Hills High School's reputation is a prime selling point for the real estate in and around the Covina area," the reputation speaks for itself and thus one does not need to state that SHHS has a "great" reputation.

I'm removing the list of universities that recent or past graduates have attended. This seems unnecessary at best, and at worst makes this article look like promotional material for this school.

I think the tables for classes currently offered is a bit much as well. Other school entries also list their courses, and the tables take up way too much space. I don't mind the AP chart as much as the Honors courses chart though; Honors courses aren't anything special at all. Do the classes even deserve to be written in a list in a paragraph? I may delete them in the near future.

I've also just realized that the "Currently Offered?" doesn't work at all. If you were going to say that, then you'd have to list EVERY AP or Honors course available at any California High School and mark it with an X instead of a check mark it if WASN'T offered. I'm removing the Honors courses chart, and I will type the AP courses into a paragraph when I get the chance.

South Hills High School (West Covina, California)South Hills High School – "SHHS" is currently a dab page, but this is the only page with that name. The only other link on the dab page is a red link. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:51, 16 August 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. Natg 19 (talk) 07:46, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment, there are however other South Hills High Schools, so it is necessary to establish that this is unambiguously the primary topic.Pincrete (talk) 10:39, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • No, those are irrelevant unless and until they have pages on WP. We don't use a WP:CRYSTALBALL. Only when topics have pages on WP for some time can we even begin to give them primary topic consideration in terms of page view counts, for example. --В²C 01:47, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose It isn't whether another article does exist, it is if it should exist. South Hills High School (Texas) definitely is a notable subject. Additionally, there is a redirect that should be on that DAB page, South Hills Catholic High School. As far as primary subject goes, Born2cycle is correct that we cannot determine that now. As the unwritten article is a school in a major city (Ft. Worth), it may well be the primary subject. So why not just leave it alone for now? YMMV, but it is my opinion that this article should be moved to South Hills High School (California), as policy is to disambiguate as little as possible. • Only when and if other subjects with the same name have actual articles on WP do we have a disambiguation issue to resolve with disambiguation. Currently, it's a non-issue; there is no conflict. --В²C 16:37, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - Well, the school in Texas is no longer a red link, so that renders this discussion moot. John from Idegon (talk) 18:10, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
