Another possible historical use[edit]

There's currently no WP article that directly supports this, but according to this, there once was an institution in Thomasville known originally as the "Fletcherville Institute" operated by the Methodist Church, which became the "South Georgia College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts" and shortened to "South Georgia College". The facilities were given to the Thomasville City School System. Also see Charles Mercer Snelling with various references mentioning that he taught at "South Georgia College in Thomasville" in the mid 1880s. Also, I disambiguated a link on Seaborn Roddenbery, but in fact that might refer to this defunct institute in Thomasville rather than the other defunct one in McRae (which was also operated by the Methodists, although apparently somewhat later than the one in Thomasville). Also see this and this and this and this and this and this. olderwiser 14:11, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
