do English translations of Man u Dibango's songs exist? would like to find them if they do.

Seeking clarification of end refrain and Michael Jackson settlement[edit]

Can someone familiar with the song clarify the ending line that was supposedly lifted by Michael Jackson? MJ's line is clearly: Mama-se, mama-sa, mama-coo-sa; and that's what the website on the cited reference lists; however, this Wikipedia entry lists it (in the Dibango version) as "Mama-ko, mama-sa, mama-ma-ko-sa". Also, while the website listed as the reference states that MJ and Dibango settled out of court, the website itself just states the same thing without providing great verification. Can anyone provide better documentation of this? Migp 17:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've never heard the Michael Jackson song in question, but I was listening to Soul Makossa just today, and in that song, the line is clearly "Mama-ko, mama-sa, ma-ka-ma-ko-sa". Galmy —Preceding comment was added at 21:30, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this has anything that isn't already in the article, but I bet it could at least be a good replacement for the current ref #6. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 06:52, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Btw, I added a few more songs that sample the line, please help if you can find more :) --Waldir talk 02:30, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correction needed for caption under picture[edit]

The cover does not feature him playing a brass instrument.

It features him playing the soprano saxophone. Which is a reed instrument. Lafharris (talk) 20:53, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
