Population

Are these population numbers correct?

1990 9,188 47.9% 2000 5,081 −44.7% 2010 9,644 89.8%

Huh? Either something really weird happened between 1990 and 2000, and then again last decade, or these numbers are way off. I checked the US census website, and these population figures match. I suspect there were some neighborhoods missed in the 2000 Census. —Stepheng3 (talk) 05:02, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

I grew up in Soquel. My family still lives there. The population did not noticeably fluctuate during that time period. The US Census B. has incorrect data. Even if the entire pop left, the housing demand from Silicon Valley would fill that town in a month.
