Article issues[edit]

Multiple areas of this article are excessively long, compared to the rather thin sourcing. GNG is probably met, but it's concerning that many of the sources seem to come from organizations closely associated with the subject (museums that accepted donated works) or contemporaries.

Nonetheless, this article is way too long. The lead needs to be shortened, and I suggest trimming the family section, merging the "criticism of Clara Barton" section with the "friendship w/" section, and trimming both. A new title might be "Relationships with contemporaries." Overall, this article is just way too detailed and provides too in-depth summaries of topics that were mostly only ever covered in primary sources.
