bad hyperlink[edit]

The hyperlink for "Baby Don't Go", links to the wrong music.

"Baby Don't Go" needs a disambigulation page.

Editorial tone[edit]

It always strikes me as sexist when, in the same context, men are referred to by their last name, but women by their first. Why does this article refer to "Bono" and "Cher"? Shouldn't it be consistently "Bono" and "Sarkisian", or more likely start with that in the first paragraph, and then switch to "Sonny" and "Cher"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobierto (talkcontribs) 00:55, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I imagine it would be due to the fact that Cher was known publicly by the shortened version of her given name. This would be similiar to other artists - Prince, Bono (of U2), and Sting come to mind - who are known primarily by their "stage" name.15:48, 17 November 2015 (UTC)THX1136 (talk) 02:58, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Any pros on here?[edit]

Well, this is sort of interesting. A well-respected member on another forum (where I'm no longer registered) gave an explanation for the voice pitch differences in S & C's recordings over a decade by saying the records were "sped up until 1971". Can anyone confirm this fact? linky -andy 77.7.119.232 (talk) 16:36, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"drug free life"[edit]

Someone put that a citation is needed. Well . . .they made an anti-drug film for teenagers, which I saw in junior high in 1969. It was not popular with other artists, or with some of the public, which saw them as Nixon agents. This should be added. It shouldn't be hard to look that film up. 47.20.164.204 (talk) 03:04, 26 May 2014 (UTC)captcrisis[reply]

Did I miss this?[edit]

I'm not sure why Chaz Bono was not included in the infobox or up front in either of either biological parents. Promoted on their variety show, as Chastity Bono, with obvious intentions in show business-- kind of like a yesteryear JonBenét Ramsey it would seem, I am surprised not to see it up top where spouses and children are generally listed. Infobox photo[edit]

The photo shows a taller Sonny and shorter Cher. The problem is Sonny was shorter than Cher. Sonny was 5'5" and Cher 5'7". The photo is thus an inaccurate depiction of the subject. And arguably sexist. -- GreenC 04:33, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unless the photo was photoshopped, then it is an accurate record of the image that was captured by the photographer. The subjects were likely standing on airstairs so it is not indicative of natural height. If there is a better photo that depicts the subjects then suggest changing the image, but no need to censor the photo to make a political point. 124.197.30.241 (talk) 09:27, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Location[edit]

The description of the photo in the article states that the picture is at Heathrow, London, UK. The detailed description in the photo file states that it was located at Schipol Airport, Netherlands. I will change the description. Further research may be required to verify.
