Two New Characters?

Do they mean two characters that weren't playable in the first one, like Amy and Rouge (as hypothetical examples) or do they mean two completely new ones that are going to be introduced to the series in this game? 206.66.217.140 20:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC) Bold text

Well, going by how all playable characters in the original Sonic Rivals had already appeared in prior Sonic games, the two new characters are probably characters who have appeared in past Sonic games but were not playable in Sonic Rivals, but I could easily be wrong. I think since Jet was not in Secret rings this would be a great game to return him to the series and I thought Metalsonic was playable in the first rivals and I think the other may be a new character

Espio has recently been revealed. I think the eighth rival will either be Vector or Jet. - B.J.

Story

While looking through the page for this game at the Sega of America site, it reveals the first bit of story regarding it. It reads "The Chao seem to be disappearing and all eight rivals must work to find out who is behind it". Thet merits an edit, although the thing I find the most intresting, is that this would mean Metal Sonic is not connected to the person behind the disappearing, because you have to have him to make eight. Cream

Who thinks Cream should be the 8th character?I mean,she'd fit right in with the storyline.-SLJCOAAATR

Tails is Sonic's best friend, and for a long time dreamed of becoming just like Sonic, before apparently realizing that he had to be himself. His theme songs for the Sonic Adventure series backs this up. Tails learned how to propel himself by spinning his tails just to keep up with Sonic. That said, if anyone were to become another rival of Sonic's, it would be Tails, and it would make perfect sense that Tails might want to compete against Sonic for a change. Since you never played the first one, you wouldn't know that it started out as a friendly competition between Sonic and Knuckles. And even if somebody starts out as a friend or enemy, that doesn't mean they can't become a rival in time. Look at the other playable characters from Sonic Rivals 1: Knuckles (Has been both an enemy and friend to Sonic), Shadow (Was an enemy, now is an ally), Silver (Although misled, was an enemy in Sonic the Hedgehog, then an ally), and Metal Sonic (Enemy of Sonic's through and through). After all, Silver wasn't one of Sonic's rivals before Sonic Rivals, but they put him in it. As for Cream, she and Sonic barely even know each other. At least in Espio's case, it makes sense, since both are Speed type characters. That said, if I had to wager a guess, I would suggest Jet the Hawk as a possible candidate.MegaWhatt 22:47, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

To reply to that... One, it was a guess, and I didn't add it, so you don't have to point out that it's speculation every time somebody makes a passing remark about their opinion if they didn't add it to the article. Two, when the character's boards run out of air, they're all running at approximately the same speed, meaning that Jet may be skilled on foot as well.MegaWhatt 02:34, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Everyone ran at about the same speed in Riders, so as of now one can't say that Jet was fast or slow, and right now there's no good reason to believe he was fast on foot. BassxForte 03:21, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

I agree with Amy,and Blaze being possibilites as well,but,Knuckles isn't all that fast,and Silver was REALLY,REALLY SLOW in Sonic Nex-Gen.Tails has also been sped up quite a bit it looks like,so,who's to say that they can't speed up Cream,or even Eggman (on foot.).Not trying to start a fight here,or anything.Just sharing what i think.I'm thinking the final character will be among these few:Cream (To find Cream,and the other chao.)Amy (Just to be around Sonic.)Blaze(Hoping that in search of the chao,she'll be a better friend to Cream,and find Silver who she has very vauge memories of after the events of Sonic Nex-Gen.)Rouge(Has been assigned the mission to find the chao by G.U.N.).Those are all just possibilites.Although i still wonder why Shadow gives a care about the chao,(Unless somebody who's involved in a new mystery about him did it.)and why Espio,and Metal are there as well.I guess Cream could've hired Espio,and Metal will be a secret character again?-SLJCOAAATR

Look, this is kinda speculation but my belief is...

• Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Cream asked them to find the chao.
• Shadow. G.U.N. is concerned about the chao-nappings so Rouge asks Shadow to find out whats going on.
• Silver. I can't give a good reason for Silver to be here.
• Espio. Was hired by G.U.N. to help Shadow.

Silver:When Blaze disappears,Silver finds Eggman-Nega with san extinct species known as "Chao".He decides to go to the past to protect the final chao (Chesse),but he discovers that he is too late when finds Cream crying about someone who looked like Eggman kidnapping Cheese,and leaving behind a card containing Vanilla.PLAYABLE

Shadow:Gets a transmission from the G.U.N. Commander (who's name is revealed to be Lulu.LOL) informing him about the chao.PLAYABLE

Espio:Hired by a mysterious person to help find the chao,and the beings of the planet who are disappearing as well.PLAYABLE

Amy:Goes to help Cream find Cheese and a way to turn Vanilla back to normal.PLAYABLE THROUGH MULTI-PLAYER,AND CHALLENGE MODE (Much like Metal in S.R.1)

Cream:Goes out in search for Cheese,Chocola,and a way to save her mom,with Amy's help.PLAYABLE

Vector:Turned into a card.SAME AS AMY.

Charmy:Turned into a card.SAME AS AMY.

Cheese:Chao-napped by the games villian.After the villian is done with the chao,he/she turns them all into cards and scatters them around the planet.NON-PLAYABLE

Chocola:SAME AS CHESSE

Vanilla:The only one who knows who the games villan is but,was turned into a card at the last minute before able to warn anybody.SAME AS AMY.

Blaze:Disappeared much like the chao.Once and a while she sends a clue to any random person.She later saves Cream's mom from being permanently turned into a card.PLAYABLE

Eggman-Nega:Actually tried to save the chaout,is mistaken as the real culprit,and is vaporized by the real villian.SAME AS AMY

Eggman:The first one turned into a card.He ends up being rescued my Metal.SAME AS AMY.

Peter:A G.U.N. agent who is secretly helping the games villian so that his life will be spared during the invasion.He is later turned into a card to power a genorater to bring an old foe back.NON-PLAYABLE

Lulu:He informs Shadow of the disappearing chao.NON-PLAYABLE

Bestova:The only living Black Arms soldier.Peter,and Metal work with him to collect the chao to power a genorater that will bring Black Doom back to life.He sends Metal to turn everyone into cards so that no one can get in his way.When Metal discovers that he will be killed by Black Doom,tries to stop Bestova,but,the DNA of the 2 combine when struck by a laser that shoots out when Omega destroys the genorator.SAME AS AMY

Black Arm Lord Over-Metal-Tova:A monstorous beast that's a combo of Metal,Bestova,and the chaos emeralds.He will stop at nothing to ressurect Black Doom.When Eggman-Nega tries to stop him,E.N. ends up vaporized.NON-PLAYABLE

Black Doom:Ressurected by the ARK being in the way of the moon,and a part of the Black Comet floating ahead of it,and using the crystal heart of the monsterous beast to send his body through.He kills his minion,and sets his revenge for Shadow.SAME AS AMY

Deleted "Characters" and "Stages" section

Before anyone freaks out, let me explain why. The "Characters" section was pointless, because all the confirmed characters were listed in the first paragraph of the article. No need to list them again. Besides, people just kept vandalizing that section, slipping names in there that aren't true.

And as for the stages section. There is only one confirmed stage, so there doesn't need to be a stages section yet. For that, wait till the game comes out.

I agree with what you did.Some retared vandel kept putting Wario as a characer,and Wario's Castle as a stage.I was at it (deleating this and other stuff the vandel put.) for about 2 hours yesterday.As fast i could correct it,he/she added it again!-SLJCOAAATR

Sonic Rivals 2 release

Sonic Rivals is already out for the PAL region, not December but Novemeber the 11th.

Missing characters

I noticed that the following characters are missing from the NPC list: Ghost Sonic Ghost Tails Omochao Chao

I just got the game on X-mas Eve,i beat Tails,Knux,and Rouge,close to beating Sonic. I think that other characters might appear Espio,Silver,Metal,and Shad. Should we list characters that are on cards only? Storyline

I'm willing to cooperate w/ ppl to a complete storyline. I have beaten sonic's storyline, close to beating Espio's story, along with Rogue's, and Silver's story. -Dudeaga Thur. 8:30 P.M. Oct. 8 2009
