Camp probably not Auschwitz but Treblinka[edit]

Hi! I dont dispose of any background information concerning the picture. But a lot of details indicate that the story takes place in Treblinka, not in Auschwitz, because of many similarities to the descriptions of Treblinka given in Claude Lanzmann's documentary 'Shoah'. For instance, the circumstances of the insurrection match perfectly: There has never been one in Auschwitz, but one in Treblinka in 1943, followed by another one in the camp of Sobibor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:398B:24A0:905D:B5A4:9D4A:FD5C (talk) 23:26, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be mistaken. There was a revolt in Auschwitz at one point in 1944 involving Sonderkommandos and gunpowder, like in the film. The confusion may be because it was a revolt, not an uprising. There's more information about it in The Scrolls of Auschwitz, a collection of witness accounts by Sonderkommando members. Olicool11 (talk) 01:25, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

First Hungarian film to win the Foreign Language Oscar[edit]

The HWR source claims this, but what about Mephisto? See also the list of Hungarian submissions. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:03, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lugnuts: That sentence clearly refers to the Golden Globes, not the Academy Awards. No Hungarian film had ever won that one. – Máté (talk) 08:43, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
