It is without doubt that the Soga had close ties to Korean immigrants. That's been stated in the article. We are not certain if they were actually Korean or not, though there is some indication they may have been. So, this is not stated in the article.

The only thing I find difficult about Japanese history is the fabricated or deleted parts. And please do not mimic people.--Sir Edgar 23:39, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shinjuku, Etimesoy, this is for you: The article now reads to contain BOTH of the statements you want to include. The Soga clan is claimed to have descended from Emperor Kogen, and it did have strong connections with Buddhism in Baekje. Please DO NOT eliminate either of these phrases. Neither is a lie, no one is making pro-Korean propaganda, we are simply trying to be historians and represent things accurately and fairly. If you two cannot be mature enough to set aside your nationalism or your misconceptions, I will have no choice but to begin formally warning you for engaging in vandalism. Please also see WP:POINT. "Soga no Karako (蘇我韓子) are references in Chinese characters to Goguryeo and Chinese Han(韓) respectively." -> Does 'Karako' mean Chinese Han? I (and probably many historians) think Kara indicated (at that time) southern part of Korean peninsula, especially Kaya(or Gaya, Karak, Kara etc) region. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.245.13.92 (talk) 15:25, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Banchanseoul (talk · contribs) continues to add un-sourced descriptions to this article.

"The Soga clan is a descendant of Korean Baekje Dynasty's Royal family."
The source added is a dead link. Even if it is valid, Yahoo news should not be used because this is a history article. It should be a scholarly, reliable published book or paper.
Addition of "Korean style" to the description.
The source says "The Soga, a Japanese court family that rose to prominence with the accession of the Emperor Kimmei about A.D. 531, favored the adoption of Buddhism and of governmental and cultural models based on Chinese Confucianism.". How this become "They favored the adoption of Korean style Buddhism and of governmental and cultural models based on Chinese Confucianism"?
addition of "Korea" to Koryo, Nara.
Kōryō (広陵)is not related to Goryeo (高麗).

Reference to the Ambiguous Kudara Palace[edit]

I can't find any information regarding This so called Kudara Palace. It is not mentioned in the Japanese version of this page and if no citations are given I believe it should be deleted.
