Rene Metz quote.[edit]

(p. 93)" Women are excluded from active participation in these sodalities under the principle of active participation in liturgical ceremonies of the Church is reserved for men. (end of citation)

As a member of a sodality for 21 years, I have never heard of women being excluded from "active participation". What is the definition of "active participation? This section has several problems. Who is Rene Metz? What is their authority? The sentence about women being excluded is not in quotes. If it is not a quote from Metz, then where is the citation for this information? The Sodality of Our Lady, in Ireland ( sodality.ie) lists on their web site Mrs. Elizabeth Mahon as the president of the sodality. How can she not be an active participant?
