Good Society / Polite Society / Mixed Company[edit]

"Polite Society" is not an euphemism for the upper class, that is "Good Society" or High society or just "Society." Polite Society is any context where etiquette is expected, or sometimes simply any group where one is uncertain if discussing a given topic will give offense.

Therefore, I am separating High Society from Polite Society/Mixed Company. If there is concern that this obscures the class-aspect of polite society in the euphemistic sense, the etiquette page which I am linking to already discusses the specifically middle-class aspect of etiquette.
