Notability[edit]

Why not to delete: historic Western US ski area, first in Jackson Hole by decades.

Add some content to demonstrate why this ski area is notable per WP:N and it might have a chance. – ukexpat (talk) 21:04, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: page moved. OK, however http://snowkingmountain.com/about-snow-king/ indicates that the official name is Snow King Ski Area and Mountain Resort. Wbm1058 (talk) 22:40, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Snow King ResortSnow King Mountain – The current page title is conflicting with trademark issues of another property in the local area ("Snow King Resort - http://www.snowking.com"). The content of the article references the property as "Snow King Mountain", however, the page title is "Snow King Resort". When users search for "Snow King Resort" in Google, The search engine results page is showing the knowledge graph for Snow King Mountain resulting in a poor user experience. In order to increase the benefit and relevance of both properties, I am requesting a name change from "Snow King Resort" to "Snow King Mountain". Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional... (But it used to be - and I have extensively researched, removed and reformatted the sections which were devoted to blatant promotion (times, prices, excessive lists, flowery speech, etc). Just yesterday I began the section Community Resistance after finding many many reliable news sources which document events and activities which could only be characterized as "bad press" to an article which is actually spam/promotion. In addition to this I just identified the copyright violation yesterday from the source https://www.tetoncountywy.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2808/Snow-King-Area-Report-PDF and was quickly working on a rewrite of the History sections instead of simply blanking the article. The WP:COPYPASTE is easily identified (once I found the paper) and retained within the boundaries of the History section and is grounds for a section delete NOT a complete elimination of the article. The irony here is that the document being referred to was generated as part of the official historical evaluation of Snow King which was indeed found to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places[1]. This article is important and should not be deleted --Luke Kindred (talk) 17:04, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
