Question[edit]

Is there anyone who is able to recognise an example of radioactive contamination caught on digital media? Having examined the original image's metadata, I ask with reference to the image presented for the Smolensk NPP page, specifically the object found at coordinates 855,1584. If one examines the image's Blue channel, found in the colour curves in your image editor of choice, there is a very distinct spike of intensity over the object present at those coordinates. Is that what you'd expect to see in an image when pixel sensors on a CCD surface are exposed to a radioactive source? Dizk0 (talk) 05:20, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
