TV anime[edit]

They're... actually going to make a whole show on this? Huh.. Well, I guess that means we'll be seeing some new life on the article. -- Ned Scott 06:20, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guess we gotta anticipate for July the 5th. --Koheiman 09:08, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it was made, and looks like it's reflected in the article now too. Tyciol (talk) 17:58, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ayako Subs and transliteration[edit]

Okay, so Defixio told me to make this article. I changed the transliteration to the tables without a fair explanation. Okay, so... It is somehow clear if you listen that the base's name is "Oppama", not "Obama". Also, They clearly said as "Bikku" (Vic) not "Biggu" (Big), so the name was clearly said as "Vic Viper" (I know, Konami show...>_>)

Anyway, good work all. Dr. Rondart 17:37, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the anime, episode 3, there are graphics showing the spelling of the Sonic Divers as Raizin and Leizin. But since I've seen it spelled differently (like it is now) I didn't change it here.ThePointman 02:29, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Raizin and Leizin are simply another romanization of Raijin and Reijin. In the same vein, the mecha from Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure is named Zinv, and is yet pronounced jin-boo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr. Rondart (talkcontribs) 07:55, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You may have a point, we could be overly reliant on Ayako's translation, but did anyone else do a translation job for the names? I'd have to listen carefully for 'Opama'. By the way, did anyone else notice that the opening lyrics changed subtly? It's so odd, it's the same tune and pictures, but a slight difference in the words. At first I thought they were translating it more accurately, and then I thought it might be a joke, and then when I listened closely, it actually started sounding different so I don't know anymore. DVD specials[edit]

Perhaps the article should be updated to reflect the special "Fishing Maniac Girl Eika" episodes? Runedot (talk) 11:38, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She's probably a great fisher (though Ichijo may be better) and would need to be to counter a certain somebody's lack of skill despite his enthusiasm. Tyciol (talk) 17:58, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Main characters[edit]

I am wondering, instead of main/secondary could we divide the sections into 'Sky Girls' and 'Supporting Staff' or something like that? I say that because, a lot of the 'secondary' characters are focused on just as much as the members of the Sky Girls team, if you think about it. Later on, Aisha (5th) takes on a lot of importance too, I'd say she's probably a 'main' as well, even if you don't see her in the opening. Tyciol (talk) 18:21, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Motion Slit/Suit edit[edit]

Reasoning behind this edit: In the absence of an RS or a licensed translation, the best compromise might be to call it a "pilot suit." In this clip, when not calling it by its official name, they refer to it as a pilot "su-tsu" (スーツ). But they clearly refer to it as a motion "suritto" (スリット) later in the same clip, and throughout the series. In my opinion, that clearly makes it a "Motion Slit," even though it's accidental mangled Engrish at best and an incredibly-unfortunate misogynistic term at worst. But by virtue of the fact that the original edit was made in the first place, obviously someone disagrees - and Wikipedia has no place in an argument which neither side can back up with an RS, only their own reasoning. Thus, I'm not going to impose my reasoning on the page. 76.22.25.102 (talk) 12:34, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
