Music[edit]
The infobox claims the film's music is by Stanshall. Only partially correct - there are songs by Stanshall, but IIRC the Rawlinson End theme and possibly other material was composed by Steve Winwood. Lee M (talk) 01:33, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
No, it is entirely correct - the music is entirely by Stanshall. While Winwood does play on the original LP, he did not compose any of the music (the 'theme' in fact dates back as far as 1971 and is possibly an uncredited co-write with Stanshall's Bonzo Dog Bandmate Neil Innes). Conversely, Stanshall did write lyrics for Winwood's solo recordings ('Vacant Chair' amongst others).HippyGumbo (talk) 17:03, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
Real-life location used for the Fool and Bladder?[edit]
There are some claims—this YouTube comment by one James Appleton who claims to have worked on the film, and one of these comments on a pub review site—that a real 18th-century pub, the Elephant and Castle pub at Wheathampstead near St. Albans, was used as the location for the Fool and Bladder scenes. Can anyone reliably confirm this and provide a reliable source, or indeed disprove it? RW Dutton (talk) 05:39, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- IMDB, though, claims that the Robin Hood & Little John pub at Rabley Heath, Codicote, Welwyn, Hertfordshire (not the only pub of that name!) was a location for the Sir Henry film. OTOH it doesn't provide any details or supporting evidence for this, and available photos such as this one suggest that the front of the building doesn't match the Fool and Bladder well. (While the Elephant and Castle does seem to match.) But of course it could be that the Robin Hood & Little John was used for one or more other shots, maybe even shots that weren't meant to be of the Fool and Bladder.
