Wrong information[edit]

All of the info that was deleted came from an Australian webpage describing Mirafra javanica, apparently also called the "Singing Bushlark" (in Australia). This is the apparent reason for the editor's confusion. Even the name of the page referenced was "Singing Bushlark (Mirafra javanica) Fact Sheet".

When I edited this page several hours back I didnt even notice the error until I came back to add some more info. The webpage that was used was full of excellent information on M. javanica, and other than the name mix-up would be an excellent resource.

Maybe the article's name should be changed since Australians, most of whom speak English and would therefore use en.wikipedia, could be confused.

I agree, its a mess. The usual source for settling English names is http://www.worldbirdnames.org/n-waxwings.html and it has Horsfield's Bush Lark for Mirafra javanica. Shyamal (talk) 15:40, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
