about Ebenezer Tiffany house name[edit]

The Simon Tiffany and Ebenezer Tiffany houses are not the same house. In fact, they're over a mile apart. The Simon Tiffany house is the house on White Birch... it's the only house on White Birch actually. The Ebenezer Tiffany house, on the other hand, is all the way down Darling Rd. (460 Darling Rd.) at the edge of town, right before the little bridge to East Haddam. --||bass (talk) 04:38, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the "disputed" tag from the article. It seems perfectly likely that there could be more than one house associated with Ebenezer Tiffany and/or the possibly large farm once owned by Ebenezer, that might be known as Ebenezer Tiffany House. So the existence of another building now known locally as "Ebenezer Tiffany House" doesn't seem to me to contradict the fact that this building was known by that name. Based on Mmxbass's comment, I added "Another building, not far away, also associated with the father, is also known as Ebenezer Tiffany House." to this article, although it lacks a footnote / source. Can sources be found and added, to discuss all such places? --doncram (talk) 12:57, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Simon Tiffany House and Ebenezer Tiffany House are separate entities. The house known as the Simon Tiffany House, located on White Birch road has never been confused with the Ebenezer Tiffany House which is, as I mentioned earlier, over a mile away and distinctive. The houses even have plaques on them that display their names and construction dates and are visible from the road. I would consult the national registry but they are undergoing an endless data migration and the data isn't currently available. --||bass (talk) 05:20, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
