Sniff test[edit]

This entry has several things going that perk up my ears for faux notability. The first is the "Quilly" from the National Academy of Best-Selling Authors, which is an operation run by the same folks who run CelebrityPress (and he [http://www.bestsellersacademy.org/member-directory#b does not even show up as a member of the academy). The "Quilly" should not be confused with (but may be intended to be confused with) the Quill Award. The other entry on the works notability list is a 17th-place-on-the-list seller status for a single retailer, one that doesn't have a Wikipedia article.

Then I note that he is a graduate of Faith Christian University, a school with no Wikipedia entry, which is accredited by TransWorld Accrediting Commission International, which is on our list of unrecognized higher education accreditation organizations, and from Life Christian University, similarly red-linked, accredited by Accrediting Commission International, also on that list. Obviously, the attending of a college is not a notability matter in itself, but it suggests a pattern of not-as-much-as-it-seems credentials. I don't have time to look carefully at all the recognition as a speaker as it should take. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:26, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
