It was Arnold N Rubinsztein who played for South Africa in 1964. Surely a different player?? This article needs checking. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.132.3.83 (talk) 17:22, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Both games databases cited by this article are incorrect in attributing games by Arnold N Rubinzstein to Simon Rubinstein. It was Arnold R who played for South Africa and he was born in the early 1930's as can be seen from the pages of "South African Chess Player" of the 1950's and 1960's. References to Simon R being South African have been removed from this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chess Fundi (talkcontribs) 06:30, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Olimpbase confirms that it was Arthur Rubinzstein who played for South Africa in the Tel Aviv Olympiad in 1964. http://www.olimpbase.org/1964/1964rsa.html So far I have found no record of Simon Rubinstein playing anywhere except the Terbitsch tournaments of 1932, 1936 and 1937. I found a reference (in German) to him dying in a concentration camp in 1942. The text reads:

"Simon Rubinstein, a Viennese master, a successful participant in the Trebitsch Memorial Tournaments in the 30s, was deported to a concentration camp and murdered there." MaxBrowne (talk) 07:27, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
