Rationale for "Tone"-tagging[edit]

While well-written, this article doesn't have an encyclopedic tone at all, but is written like a newspaper/journal article. Large parts are unreferenced, other problems include WP:WEASEL and WP:PEACOCK terms. Wikipedia articles should inform about the subject, not enshrine it. Slang term[edit]

There should be a discussion of how "Silky Sullivan" has come to be used as a slang term for any come from behind win. —Viriditas | Talk 01:16, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • This "figure of speech" apparently originated in California, it would be interesting if the origination could be attributed to someone in the news media at the time. T.E. Goodwin (talk) 17:58, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tone[edit]

Tagged again. The tone of the article is totally unencyclopedic. Very few facts are properly referenced. I'll give it a week or two and then bring out the pruning shears. Tigerboy1966  14:13, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
