WNPI-TV[edit]

Not sure if this is an isolated case or part of a pattern, but I notice that FCC now claims that WNPI-TV could provide analogue nightlight service to the Watertown, New York area. Not sure how, exactly, as WNPI is a full-power satellite of WPBS which primarily serves Ottawa-Hull and likely will not reach downtown Watertown. (WPBS itself didn't make the list.) The station not being equipped to do much of anything other than simulcast WPBS into Potsdam, New York (where it nominally serves a tiny village near a state university campus) also renders this an unlikely choice - unless the intent is to just list any station, usable or not, to avoid acknowledgement that there is no suitable option offered by FCC in this community. --66.102.80.212 (talk) 04:55, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's over[edit]

I have nothing verified. I have a source that says the FCC knows of no stations that are in violation of the rules. Although LPTV stations could still be on the air, and I know this was planned in Chicago.
