"Generally flows in a northerly direction"? Does this mean it sometimes flows in the other direction, or would ""Flows in a generally northern direction" be better? The Real Walrus 19:35, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Symantics - please bust someone else's balls. Because YES it does flow in the other direction if you want my GPS data to prove it. Sometimes it flows east, sometimes it flows west, sometimes it flows south - Shiawassee is an Indian term for "twisting, winding river" -OFFER some real help, please

-WHERE are all the experts who live in WikiPedia world to help after 4 YEARS ! (see dates) It would appear all I get is criticism upon each and every post I make, if you want to help, please do so - but don't belittle, chatise and browbeat those who merely want to share public info on a natural resource in Michigan —Preceding unsigned comment added by Willi H2O (talkcontribs) 18:18, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Formal Request for Help[edit]

It's clear the natural resource exists - Water Trails are part of Michigans heritage and historical record. Numerous unique groups assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the physical river "Nature Conservancy", "HeadWatersTrails Inc.", "Friends of the Shiawassee", etc.

Please assist to make this a A+ Page that all adults and children can use as a public resource of info

Pictures[edit]

Pictures tell more about a geological resource than any words on a page ever can ----- There is nothing wrong with having a gallery of some sort to give people a clue of what is being talked about —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.144.202 (talk) 01:29, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment[edit]

I've assessed this as a start-class article. Key items in need of improvement include: converting external links to formatted citations (consider using WP:REFLINKS for assistance), expanding the description of the river and watershed, and adding some information on the impact of the river on the communities through which it passes. Editors may want to seek assistance from WikiProject Rivers. cmadler (talk) 19:59, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
