Brady[edit]

should the most famous alumni not be changed to 'infamous' alumni? lets not give the title of 'positively famous person' to a murderer.

Or just remove his name altogether? There has still been no verification that he attended the school, and even if he did, he is hardly likely to be the most famous former pupil. --Doric Loon 11:40, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added Brady as aluminus. He shoudlbe included as he is in/famous! This link indicates he is indeed aluminus.

Somene undid my addition. Since the information is referenced, I would say their actions were unsopprtable. 94.197.127.69 (talk) 17:12, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe that someone thought it was a joke addition. I have added an explicit citation for verification taken from Moors murders. Thank you for your support and alertness! Amalthea 21:55, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To do[edit]

This article has come on a long way in the last couple of weeks, but there is still a lot to do. Apart from a general tidy-up, it could use a lot more colour. Any chance of somebody adding a photo of the school? Some articles on Scottish schools have several photos: exterior, interior, rugby team, school show... And some have a lot more historical information: lists of headteachers, prize winners, head boys/girls. There must be more famous alumni. --Doric Loon 08:58, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should this be included?[edit]

"Shawlands Academy plays host to a great many sports teams and clubs which offer students extracurricular activity, all within the school premises. However, the school cannot take pride in the teams notoriously bad performances throughout the years with perhaps the worst performing team being the football team. For years it had continually sat bottom in the leagues in which it has participated in. Recently, the teams coach (who can be named for legal reasons, it's Paul Riley) vacated his post due to abuse and disrespect from his players. (Is back coaching again this season) "

Right time to add the bit about Shawlands being on Our School Series 4?[edit]

Wouldn't know when to add information about Shawlands being featured in Our School Series 4. I would assume it gets its own section, or it could be placed in the main introduction.

There wasn't/hasn't yet been a formal press release, but the BBC has put up three episodes from the new series at Shawlands if that can at all be used as a source.
