This Shannon Martin may or may not be the same person who previously ran for the same party in Kildonan in the 1999 election — in all likelihood it probably is the same person, but under Wikipedia's verifiability requirements we cannot assume or assert that to be the case until we can find a reliable source which confirms it ("Shannon Martin" not being a rare enough name that we can rule out any possibility of there being more than one). This page confirms that the Shannon Martin who held a high-ranking position with the CFIB was the same Shannon Martin who ran for the PCs in 1999. Since "our" Shannon Martin was a high-ranking representative of the CFIB, I think we can reasonably conclude that it's the same person. CJCurrie (talk) 21:06, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
