The 'boundaries' of Shandon here are pretty much agreed locally. I would dispute the view that Sinclair Place is in Shandon:

1) Sinclair Place is between Roberston Avenue and Stewart Terrace - both in Gorgie 2) Sinclair Place is on the site of the Ferranti Factory, previously McVitie & Price Bakery, Robertson Avenue, Edinburgh. That has always been taken to be in Gorgie e.g. "A GBP 30 million scheme to build more than 350 homes on the site of the former Ferranti factory site in Gorgie was originally due to include 100 housing association flats for rent by local people." (Source: Evening News - Scotland | November 2, 1998| DAVID EYRE | Copyright 1998 Evening News - Scotland) 3) The real reason that Sinclair Place is badged Shandon on a lot of propert adverts - the developer used the label as Gorgie gave the wrong image to upmarket apartments. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JimCGlass (talkcontribs) 15:00, 13 August 2009
