References and Tone[edit]

There's some really good information in this article, but I tagged it today for references and tone. While there are citations for some of the material, there are also large sections without citations. Some of these sections that do not have citations interpret the artist's work and relate it back to key themes in her artistic practice. Without citations, these could be construed as original research or biased opinions. Sometimes the phrasing might be too dense for the average reader looking to learn more about Sikander's work (for example: "The increasing approach of continual morphing explains Sikander’s relationship to an ever-changing world where opposing societies coalescently interact" and "Sikander’s attention to detail and formalism assist in the contextualization of her miniature paintings, stemming from an interest in labor, process and memory").--Arthistorygrrl (talk) 01:20, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In addition to sections without citations, the first reference is to the artist's website. The subject should not be used as a reference due to potential bias Dflatto (talk) 04:06, 28 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also the artist's CV should not be used as a source since it is considered primary - see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. 08:16, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

Uncited information[edit]

I moved the uncited information here to the talk page. Please do not move it back unless there are proper citations. Jooojay (talk) 08:18, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
